The AIM Center works with key stakeholders to support the implementation of NIMAS and effective uses of accessible instructional materials (AIM).
The NIMAS Center maintains and updates the National Instructional Materials Accessibility Standard (NIMAS), which guides the production of alternate versions of textbooks and related instructional materials.
The 15-state AIM Consortium explored ways to improve the quality, availability, and timely delivery of accessible instructional materials to K–12 students with print disabilities.
**Accessibility e-Resources** - Instructional materials go way beyond today's printed textbooks. With that in mind, the AIM Center has created e-Resources, a one-stop, go-to source of AIM Center-vetted resources for educators who want to learn more about all things accessible, including:
computer applications
assessments
eBook readers
eLearning systems
meeting software
survey tools

AIM: Basics for Families What does it cover?
An introductory booklet, written in plain language, that outlines the four steps of the AIM decision-making process. Available soon in Spanish!
How might I use it?
Hand it out to families of students who are struggling with reading textbooks and other learning materials, bring it to an IEP meeting, or use it as a handout in trainings on AIM.
